Crennel is an great coach on a lousy team. Don't forget Bill Belichick had a losing record with the crappy Browns too (36-44 in 5 seasons). Shell was a good coach, but the game might have passed him bye. Crennel is the better of the 2, but I don't think there weight has and baring on there abilities as a coach.

Neither one seems to be in touch with the players. Respect is not present on either squad, and that ultimately comes from the tone set by the head coach and his relationship with the players.

As far as who does Xs and Os better, I give the nod to Romeo Crennel. If he can improve on his player development skills (or hire bettter assistants to do the same) he will be a success. I think Art Shell's days of success are behind him, though they were great, they came as a player, not a coach.

Has to be Crennel. As a head coach, Art Shell is about as bad as it gets.
