It is mostly true. You have to use iTunes and nothing else will work, which is a huge bummer. Also u cant transfer any music to other friends computers. They tend to have some hardware issues and can sometimes freeze, fail, or have funky issues only Apple can fix. Below are some other just as awesome mp3 players that have the same features...and almost all of them have features that iPod dreams about..

ALL OF THESE can be seen on WAL-MART'S website and in STORE!!!

if you have any more questions feel free to contact me. I know my electronics

P.S if u really truly don't like any of the above listed, then going with an iPod would work. If you get it at wal-mart, make sure to get a protection plan for it (Online) or if its from apple make sure to extend the warranty. If you do that you should be fine!

Mine has been amazingly easy to use. The only thing I use it for is working out, and it is really great for that. I even have a workout shirt that has a place in the upper sleeve to hold the ipod, I love it!! I can workout twice as good as I did before and it sort of puts me into my 'own world' for a little while. I put on Christian rock with great lyrics that really make me think and it is a whole experience that really gives me an uplifting stress relieving break.

I Highly recommend the ipod:)

False! You can use other mp3 sources like Limewire and they are very easy to use once you get used to it. However, nanos are ripoffs. Get a video or a 2gb nano.
