start out with 5 bucks for your whole driveway....however, many factors in determining price
1. experience
2. length of drive-way
3. amount of snow
4. quality of job

since he is only 12 yrs old, give him a good experience in money making... make him earn it.....you could possibly raise the price in 50 cent increments....

hope dis helps!

I like the 'what's it worth to you?' answer.

That said -- ask your neighbours; see if there's anything akin to a going rate for that sort of thing where you live.

If not -- ask what the going rate is for baby-sitting, and go with that. Arguably less since it's mindless; arguably more since it's hard physical labour.

Or ask the kid.

If he says "whatever you want, mister" -- try not to take advantage... Maybe ask the neighbours? Last thing you want is somebody you live near permanently annoyed because you sent his kid home with your pocket change.

Don't forget to tip him if there's a lot of ice or slush or other unpleasantness beyond the fluffy stuff.

I would say 10 if a couple of inches. more if there is a larger/wetter snow. also depends on how big your driveway is. Get an appraisal from someone who plows or snowblows and go from there.....remember there has been inflation since we were kids! LOL

You should pay by the length and width of your driveway.
