Here are a few that I like: System of a Down,Trans-Siberian Orchestra(check this one out, very very cool), ACDC, Sphere of Souls(progressive metal out of Europe, they are on myspace), Rock Solid(also on mypsace), Theory of a Deadman, Tantric, Flyleaf, Chevelle, Disciple, As I lay Dying, Atreyu, Tool, A perfect Circle, Black Label Society, Dark new Day, Sinch, Chimaira, Killswitch Engage, Nightwish, Red, Demon Hunter, and Black Stone Cherry. YOu can also always type in a band you like on yahoo music then hit similar artists. You can ask it to give you more obscure artists as well as mainstream ones.

Black Label Society is a MUST. Zakk Wylde is a guitar GOD.
Megadeth is always a good choice.
Lacuna Coil is good. They have a sound like Evanescence.
Stone Sour. Lead guitar and vocals from Slipknot
Rob Zombie.
Some of the older stuff it a good way to go to. Retro is in I guess.

i suggest listening to some older bands that influenced these bands...you have pretty good music taste! i suggest Smashing Pumpkins. Misfits, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Blink 182, older more classic bands
