I had something wierd happen yesterday. I am 28 so I am too young to have a stroke I think. I was walking and got a sudden severe headache running up the back of my head. Ten minutes later I was driving home and my left arm totally went numb for 5-10 minutes then has improved. Its still tingly but my headache went away. What could this be? Has anyone had this before? Could it be a pinched nerve in my neck or spine?

this could be a lot of different things... stroke being just one of the things possible, you need to see a doctor right away, don't wait for the people on yahoo to decide for you because if it is a stroke or something similar then the longer you wait the more damage that occurs.

Sounds like just a simple pinched nerve, however it would be a good idea to go into a chiropractor or reg dr and get checked out. Tell them what you experienced and see what they say. However to answer your question, I have had it happen before many times, but I've also been in to see my dr and chiropractor so I know exactly what it is with me. For me, it means I need an adjustment, my spine is out of alignment. Yours could be that simple, yet it could also be more serious, so go see your dr to make sure.

Hey man, you may want to see a doctor. Your left arm going numb or even hurting is a sign of heart attack.
