Thank you! I am not a Scrooge but I do have a little artifical tree and the nativity scene. I do not decorate the outside of the house with any lights. Why should I have the neighbors enjoy it when I can't see it. So Amen to what you said.....I agree 100%

Only if you stop using unnecessary electricity to power your computer. In an hour, it uses more power than my Christmas lights do for a week.

I use less electricity powering up my Christmas Lights outside my home (for a week) than my children (when they were teens) used up in an Hour on the Computer and with their Video Games -- so LAY OFF!

I use some small lights on my tree. I never use lights outside. I find some of these elaborate displays have become gaudy.They have take over the meaning of Christmas. The money wasted there could better be spent to feed the hungry & house the homeless. I try to keep the meaning of Xmas focused for the children.

I just ran out and added 2 more strands of lights after I read this post. I stopped at that because I didn't have anymore lights. Gonna buy more tomorrow. Your post is responsible for even more electricity being used.
