It just means black. If it's so offensive, they shouldn't be using it, either. What, they can because of what they've been through? They haven't been through anything. They weren't slaves.

Why is the swastica so offensive to Jewish people. "Swastica- It is usually thought to be a charm, talisman, or religious token, esp. a sign of good luck or benediction." Just because it once represented something of peace after the Holocaust no one sees it as peaceful. The N-word wasn't just used in times of slavery but as recently as the civil rights movement as a deragatory term. It is offesive, and i agree of ther African Americans shouldnt use it

let me try to open your eye's to a few clues about why blacks do not like the N word [1] it was a label that was put on them by a white man and it was meant to degrade them to submission make them think they were lest then a dog the white man stripped them of everything that they knew even took their names and place it with the N WORD[2] i think really that the word should be outlawed and whoever uses it black/white should do some jail time it is a word handed down through slavery blacks, you say, are not in slavery. but they would taught to know that most white people[ not all] does not have their best interest at heart b/c whites [most] think blacks are beneath them blacks were taugh about salvery through many many generations it is just like a brand that was burned into their mind's just like the brand the white man use to brand them with a hot iron. they will never forget just like the brand never came off. it stayed for life and so will the memory of the slavery of their ancestors so they will never ever forget never what the white man want's is for it[slavery] put back in the closet but it will never be

I could care less truly. I've been called it on several occasions and it does not phase me.
However, the word does have a very negative history that comes to mind when the word is used.
So, for those to whom it offends, I would say "No" to saying the word, even though you do so much, FU Mofos.

I just don't think the N word is all that bad. I've been called a lot worse. Sticks and stones, etc.
Black, colored, *****, african american, people use that word all the time. By the way I'm Irish American and Catholic, believe me I have been called a lot worse.
