UN Resolution 242

Hal Linsey, The Late Great Planet Earth.

Recommended by Steve Green with his comments below:
"First, the ancient history. The Temple in Jeruselum was the center of Jewish worship in the first century. The sacrificial laws from Deuteronomy ewtc. were practiced there. This Temple was destroyed by the Romasns in about 70 CE, because the Jews revolted and the Romans wanted to repress them. Everyone agrees on these facts.

Let's now jump to contemporary times. As archeological fact, no one knows where the site of the ancient temple was. Tradition has it that The Wailing Wall was part of the temple, but no one knows. Jewish tradition demands the rebuildingh of the Temple. I'm sure you know about the tradition of Breaking the Glass at a Jewish wedding. Believe it or not, this tradion was established to prevent joy during a wedding. Something valuabel; was broken to ensure sadness, because no good Jew was supposed to be happy until the Temple was rebuilt. So, we exist at a time where many generations have been brainwashed into this Temple worship.

Further, tradition, but not archeological eveidence, has it that the Moslem Mosaque, known as the Dome of the Rock, now stqnds on the site of the Temple. In my opinion, and that of many others, the Arab-Israeli war of 1967 nwas nothing but a land grab by the Israelis in order to capture and hold Jeruelem. Their act of aggresion was condemmed by the entire world, even the US, and UN resolution 242 called for Israel to give back all the territory it occupied Illegally. Even the US supported UN resolution 242, even though the US had supporteed the Israeli miltary machine, and some US troops offered logistical support during the war.

Since the war, many Israeli terrorist ahve tried to blow up the Dome of The Rock, and been reated very gently by Israeli courts. Fundy Christian types have funded terrorist groups who have done such violence, and they wield enourmous power in our government right now."
