Josh Gibson, no one knows for sure how many he actually hit, but they say close to 800 HR ... the all-time HR king is Japanese slugger Sadaharu Oh with 868 steroid-free HR!!!!
It's time the MLB Hall of Fame recognized all players of credence and race from around the world, and as a side note, they made a horrible mistake of not putting Buck O'Neill into the Hall.

The answer varies as teams from the ***** Leagues always went on barnstorming tours to make extra money and those games usually weren't officially recorded for statistics. But, estimates are that Josh Gibson hit between 800-1,000 home runs.

I don't know if there are any accurate statistics as far as real games and not exhibition as far as ***** League stats go but Josh Gibson is the greatest of them all however many he actually hit in games that count.

The true numbers for Josh Gibson are impossible to determine, as there are dubious statistics available, and the word-of-mouth folklore is equal parts entertainment to truth.
That being said, I'd be willing to bet it IS Josh Gibson, who was unmatched in his day.

Josh Gibson, it was said that he was a homerun machine, in fact it is said that he once hit a ball so hard that it shattered a seat (which was wooden back in the day) on the upper deck in right field of Yankee stadium

stats weren't really kept but most people in baseball agree big josh gibson, the catcher for Crawford Graysi s the alltime home run king with anywhere from 800 to 900. he died before he was able to play in the majors.
