Meaning, the stop and go lights that we use everytime we go driving, the ammount of lanes, street signs, everything. Just how innovative it is and efficient at operating. For example, India's is pretty poor, many places lack lights so it is just a free for all, like a 4-way stop sign intersection, minus the stop signs. You can imagine how chaotic, just whoever goes first goes. Highly inefficient.
Some would say L.A. is awful, etc. But I am curious about Germany, etc, what it's like there. How would you judge your state's efficiency? Do you have nifty traffic lights, efficient traffic flow, etc.
-And how can we improve our transportation system for cars?

Europe with their Eurorail train system. That is much more efficient than the automotive systems or bus. Which is why they adopted it in the first place. Saves fuel, land, and gives more speed travel. In the U.S. the city with the worst traffic (and I would agree having visited there) is Seattle believe it or not. L.A. may have the most cars and miles of roads, but Seattle is incredible at rush hour. Loads of red lights on the entrance ramps to simply give you "permission" to "attempt" to get into traffic. If you have never seen their rush hour and the 40 plus mile north and south parking lot of interstate then you have no idea. The most congested interstate in the U.S. is the Katy Freeway or I-10 in western Houston. Makes the records everytime. Stalled vehicle on that one and you can kill hours and hours getting through even though the other lanes are open. Having been there too I also agree on that one. Can't say for other countries, but heard that Mexico City is a bear to drive in as well.

The best place that I have driven is Phoenix Arizona. There highway system is really well constructed and when you come on a interchange its marked with a sign and is also painted on the street. Ive been on the road there in rush hour traffic and yes it was congested but went pretty smoothly.
San Francisco California is by far the worst city that I have had to drive in. It used to take me 3-4 hours to get to work!(longer if there was an accident) I only lived about 45min away. In town they have really small street signs and alot of one way streets. The biggest problem though is there is no left turn lights and you gotta make a lot of left turns to get were your going.
The worst state I've driven through is Texas. Who ever designed that system was on some really nasty drugs!
