It's too early to determine who would win the Premiership, it would be a lot clearer after the New Years. Man Utd has a lot of potentials in winning it this year with the youths starting to settle into the squad, i.e Fletcher,Ronaldo & Rooney. With the motivation of not winning the Premiership for 3 years and with new signings I believe they just might be able to snatch it from Chelsea. However, this also depends on their injury runs, If anyone remember last year when Man U were literally out of midfielders, they started to drop points.
Nevertheless, Chelsea has a very strong squad compared to United. Chelsea's squad has a lot of depth and it's bench is filled with international stars Wright-Phillips,Robben,Joe Cole. I reckon United's first XI is stronger than the Blues but United's bench lacks the depth. Chelsea were never as good as last year when they sold Gudjonssen & Duff, their 2 deadly quick wingers, they no longer play that deadly counter attack that ripped Barca in the Champions League. They now heavily rely on their diamond formation to score which is less effective, directly reflected on their standing in the table.

Its no easy question being a United fan i want them to win i know it wont be very easy not considering the way we threw two points to Chelsea in the big clash couple weeks back. But i think with the influence of Rooney, Ronaldo and other big players we will just squeeze it and with veterans like Giggs, Scholes, Van Der Sar and Neville all finding their range its not going any other way.
At the end of the season Chelsea will be behind by maybe 1 point but Man U will stick it out and win. Chelsea have had their fun for the last 2 seasons and it would be boring if they won it again this season.

Man Utd - I hope. If we can stay free of injuries. No disrespect to Chelsea. They are a good team with a huge, talented squad. All bought and paid for by one man and not built up over the years like Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal.

When looking at how good and accurate Man U are, it's easy to say they'll triumph... but from a soccer perspective I'd say Chelsea because they have all that it takes to win it and Man U have a talented team but too young to stand the rest of the season's storm while Chelsea have very experience and matured to stand it.. in case of injury Man U will be blown up while Chelsea contains almost 3 teams (in terms of numbers on the bench)
The other thing is that if Man U looses it's going to affect their performance and will put them under pressure because they're already used to getting not less than 1 point. The proof is the game agaist Chelsea; they had the game in their hand but because they put pressure on themselves they lost it by giving away 2 points.
Tchao!

LOL who said Arsenal and Liverpool etc etc know nothing about football? Think about it again before saying it sir, knowledge about football isn't just about the table position.
I'll go fo the Chelsea, they still have next half season to catch up Man Utd. And they have capabilities to do that.

Well I would say utd are playing well but Chelsea have world class players for every position X2 ie more strength and depth. They could put out a second team to beat most teams. Also they can go and get who they want in jan with their blank cheque book. So looks like it has to be Chelsea again. Hope Liverpool do it soon though!!!

Chelsea got off to a dodgy start. Their new (star) players took a while to adjust, thus giving Man U. a points advantage at the moment. Chelsea will triumph, they have the depth and resources - just look at how they coped with not one but TWO goalkeepers in hospital - they can do that for every position on the pitch.
