can't really tell you distance (been a while), but I remember its about 40 or 60 km. The time it takes to drive from one to the other is about 40 minutes, since you have to drive through Banff National Park most of the way, so the speed limit is only something like 80km/h, instead of 110

It's approximately 45 minutes or about 60 km depending of course on the winter road conditions (significant snow AND tourist travel in that area)............and lots of X country ski trails/mountain biking trails in Canmore too.....if you are going there, enjoy !!! I do!

try finding a map for that area on www.canada.gc.ca the govt of canada site with links to that province. highway maps and travel distances etc.
