There'slittle worse than trying to get to sleep, tossing and turning
in bed and just unable to drop off. But in the morning when its time to get up its lovely to just lie in there.

If you read before you go to sleep you'll drop off much faster. If you have a partner who moans about the light, get a torch. It shows just enough light to let you read. I used to say a terrible thing about getting up: getting out of bed in the morning was worse than dying during the night! I didn't really mean it but it IS the worst thing to have to part from: a warm, cosy bed on a cold morning.

your body does need time / sleep to recharge --not being able to sleep, restlessness or what have you makes your body feel agitated. In the morning - the body has had SOME sort of rest and is slightly relaxed, in a good mood.
