I lost my mucus plug over the weekend and had a doctors appointment today; he said im dilated a little but not very much. Im almost 38wks pregnant. How much longer will i go like this????

It depends. I know at this point you just want it to be over, but loosing your mucus plug doesnt mean anything, it can be lost 4 weeks or more before any signs of labor. Just wait, sleep, and maybe have some sex to help things along. I would use a condom now if you have lost your plug so that it may reduce the risk of infection. Niple stimulation should also help get contractions going. Good luck!

It could still be a while. I was 5cm dilated and the doctor wanted to send me home for another week. you just never know with these things. My last baby was 2 or 3 weeks past his due date. I thought I was going to be pregnant forever. Your baby will come when it is ready.

Unfortunately there is no way of knowing. My girlfriend dilated to 3 and never went any further and ended up having to be induced. Good luck - I hope it happens soon for you and you have a healthy, happy baby!

I waited for that moment too! Unfortunatly after losing it I was informed that yu can go up to two weeks so really it meant nothing! Good luck
