We have been together for 15 years and my husband still does not trust me with our finances and is always threatening to leave me. When he sees that he is not winning an argument he really loses his temper and becomes verbally abusive.
I have never bounced a check,not paid a bill on time,had a utility shut off or been denied a loan. Can't say that about my husband who had crappy credit before he married me.
I should have known better.....he is the baby of the family while I am the oldest and only girl. Birth order...think about it.

he must like the control factor..every pay day my husband calls me and tells me the amount of his direct deposit..mine hasnt paid a bill in years and now i pay everything online and he has no idea how to do it or even how to log onto the banking site...i dont see what birth order has to do with it...my husband is an only child and i am the middle child of 3 girls,

Get your own bank account. If your working, pay for YOUR expenses and what ever he agrees to. If not, bank your paper and keep your own finances in order. It may also be a good idea to file or taxes separately.
My wife and I had a joint bank account for a short time. I put the majority of the money in and she took the majority of the money out! She bounces checks, runs up her credit cards to the max, has bill collectors calling constantly.
I have paid her bills off on several occasions just to have her go right back in debt. It's insane! She's got mad at me when I told her I would not be paying any of them off after doing so repeat idly.
I guess it's just part of being married. However! Financial problems are a very big reason why people have marital problems.
