DAM IT, Dr House said the the answear already...
it is true that the actual number in 2048mb, but when u use it on PC/laptop, the speed doesnt go up to that high...
so they just put 2gb, and its easier to say it too

It's the same thing. 1 kilobyte is 1024 bytes; that why the numbers seem odd.

It's the same. 512MBx2 =1024MB. Therefore, 1024MB (1gb) x2 =2048MB.
