The benefits are only for him, not you. And, if he hasn't left his wife yet, he never will. Why should he? He's got the stable family life with the squeeze on the side.

There are NO benefits of dating a married man. Karma will come back around to bite you both in the butt. If he hasnt left after 5 years what makes you think he ever will? If you were married would you like it if some homewrecker came along and had an affair with your husband? Hes cheating on her now and he would cheat on you too. Go find yourself a real man and leave the married ones alone. Their wives and kids have feelings just like you do. In most cases with an affair that lasts that long, the wife always wins. He will chew you up and spit you out.

NOT! Why should he leave when he has the best of both worlds. A secure wife at home, and a romp in the hay when he gets bored with her. You are trespassing on God's sacred institution of marriage whether you believe in God or not. It doesn't matter. On that note, you will not be blessed. Don't bother asking God for another woman's husband. It doesn't work that way. Leave the loser! You will be used up, and thrown away eventually. There are no benefits to the "outside" woman, ever. Besides, don't you have enough self-esteem to find a single man for yourself. Or is it that you like the drama and so-called challenge of trying to break up a home. Do unto others as you would want done to you. How would you feel as a wife?

Ok, for one thing. He's using you. He won't leave his wife. Secondly, why can't you find a guy that is single? How would you feel if the guy you were married to cheated on you? I don't think you would like it too much. There are no benefits to this. sorry. All your doing is causing some innocent woman pain and even if he does leave her, he will wind up doing the same to you. Get your act together.

Basically there are no benefits. Even if he did leave his wife and married you, you will always wonder about his commitment to you b/c he f**** around on his first wife. People really do not change that much without working at it with a counselor.
What would you tell your daughter to do? Best wishes!

Five years? It's a safe bet to say that no, he will not leave his wife for you. She might leave him when she finds out about his infidelity, but he's not going to move from where he is. He's comfortable in the marriage, and he gets you on the side. He's not going to do anything to disturb the good thing he's got going right now.
I'd say you should give him an ultimatum. Tell him you're leaving him unless he leaves his wife, and then follow through.

Honey if it's been going on for 5 yrs and he is still married.. Then he is never planning on leaving the wife... Your best bet would be to move on to a real man because this man is using you and will just keep on using you.. I would give him a choice and if he cant decide then decide it for him because you got one life to live and he cant give you back your life once he has used it up....

no he will not leave his wife, the benefits are that for most of the important things in your life you will not be with the man you love, you will spend most holidays alone, if anything happens to him.. his wife will be entitled to any property, his wife will get the sympathy and you will just look like a fool, also when he breaks your heart and he will you will be all alone to pick up the pieces

Sorry, but your just candy on the side. He'll leave you before he leaves her. I would think after five years you'd click into that. Besides you shouldn't be between a man and his wife anyway. Go find a man of your own. Build your own life and family. That's unAmerican.
