My car has a gorgeous dark gray metallic paint job, but the dark paint is a freaking dust magnet. Any tips on minimizing dust, besides brushes and car covers? It gets clayed and waxed every six months. Thanks!

This all depends on what kind of use your car goes through. If it is a daily driver then you are out of luck, if it is a show car or a weekend driver, then keeping it in an air conditioned finished garage with painted drywall walls and some sort of high temp floor covering will help keep the condition of the car.

Also do not be afraid of car covers, if you get a high quality car cover you can keep it on your car while it is not in use. I recommend the California car cover (makers of the Cal. water blade and the cal. Car duster) the cover is guaranteed not to scratch your finish. check them out, I use their covers on a 1965 Corvette Stingray worth over 50K and a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado worth over 15K.

Unfortunately, many great waxes carry static charges that tend to attract dust. Some are more electrically neutral. Off hand, I can only think of Klasse as a neutral, non-dust attracting "wax".

I use a version of the California car duster by OXO to dust off the car.

I then follow up with a quick detail spray and microfiber towel to wipe.

Run an antistatic cloth over it and then keep the windows up.
