Absolutely NOT! Go! Have a good time! I'm proud of you for waiting to get a divorce first.

However, if you are not emotionally ready....wait until you are ready. Whatever works best for you.

There is no set time, only your heart could tell you that. But my bf was in the process of getting a divorce from a 10 day marriage when he met me and fell in love with me (about 6 months into the process). Today is actually the day of his finalized divorce, so he's a free man.

I think that at this point you really need to concentrate on yourself. Go out and do things that you would not normally do. Enjoy your freedom. I know I did for about 9 months after my divorce. I traveled, partied hard and pampered the hell out of myself. You will know when you are ready. Good Luck with your new freedom.

I believe you got to give it at least 3 months before you start dating. This way you show respect to your ex and as well as tribute to your previous relationship. Also, by this time, your mind's off of other things and settled left over things and mentally getting prepared for the new relationship.
