expensive piece of paper... However that being said it is a gateway to many other invaluable lessons and knowledge. I admit I use the stuff I studied minimally in the workplace, but without the degree I never would have gotten the job.

It all depends on you! If you desire knowledge you can find it while also obtaining a degree. Stretch yourself into new areas and look ways to obtain a competitive advantage in your chosen field. The degree is simply a confirmation of achievement. But you determine what that achievement is!

Without real focus and achievement - a degree can simply be an expensive piece of paper. Don't waste your time and life in this way - either go for it all the way or find something else that you really love.

It depends on the situation. A degree will open more doors for you in the marketplace, but if your intention is to be an entrepreneur then statistically people that are only high school graduates earn more money than college graduates. Whereas in the workplace a college graduate will earn 63% more than a high school graduate.
