The year I got my Shirley Temple doll. Must have been around 1957. I had to wear a patch over one eye to strengthen the other eye. My dad fashioned a patch for the doll to wear. That year I also got a Smokey The Bear teddy, and a Sherry Lewis drawing set. I also got a chair that the back swung up and turned into a desk. What a wonderful Christmas that was. Of course waking up and smelling the turkey roasting was great too!

I come from a family of 7..one year was really hard on my family...I was 10 at the time...but I remember we got help from somewhere and we got all these gifts...and my mom was crying, and thanking these people over and over..and I remember that year that I got this HUGE coloring book that was half the size of me, and I also got a miniature piano organ...and I don't remember where I learned how to play this from, but Christmas morning I played 'Silent Night' on it for my family...I also always remember how it was tradition that my family went out to cut down our tree every year...well, I hope you like this answer..and I also hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas this year, and that it is filled with many wonderful memories...

My earliest memory is when I was 4. We had an old tree that was my great-grandfather's. My mom put the lights and garland on & then she let me put the gold and red balls on the lower branches. We were listening to Christmas songs on the old record player by Bing Crosby. And I got to drink hot cocoa with marshmellows and a candy cane to stir it for the first time. My mom brought me my very own Christmas mug. I still have it and use it every season.
Thanks for the question! I love to think about my childhood. Makes me feel warm! Merry Christmas!!!

The earliest chirstmas I remember was at age 3.
Mom carried me from my bed to the livingroom to see a lot of toys under the tree for me. And she & Dad played with them nearly all morning. Then My older cousins came over and took pictures with me.

One x-mas I was sick with a mild case of the chicken pox and my parents had a family member over but because I was contagous I couldn't be in the same room as them because she was really terrified of getting sick; I didn't have very much fun that x-mas eve.
