No, it isn't bad to eat ice when you are pregnant, because it's just frozen water. The doctor will tell you that you need to drink a lot of water for the baby to be in. Even though you are eating ice, I would drink a lot of water just in case. If you continue to eat ice, you need to get crushed ice like Sonic sells, so the baby won't choke off the ice.

When I was pregnant with my first child I ate ice all the time. I had a friend from Liberia that told me if I ate too much ice my baby would have a big head. I didn't believe her. When I had him his head was normal size. But as an infant he did have a pretty big head. I think it was just coincedence.

LoL! Umm.. no doll, its only frozen water, you are fine to eat all the ice you want girly = ) Water is great for you when you are pregnant, and due to the temp. of your body, ice melts rather quickly once eaten.

No why would you think that? But eating ice can be bad for your teeth, no matter if you're pregnant or not.

No, I eat a ton of ice! But I agree with Kristin, you need to have your dr check your iron levels. I craved more ice when I was anemic.

Nah, of course not...but in the later stages of pregnancy it can encourage bub to wake up and wiggle around!!
It's a good way to keep up fluids too, especially if you're pregnant over summer and not too keen on drinking water...
