About an hour ago, my neighbors went outside and started throwing ceramic dishes against the wall of our building. It only lasted a few minutes, and then they went back inside. Should I ask them about it, or pretend it never happened? I PROMISE, THIS IS A REAL QUESTION. THIS REALLY HAPPENED!!!

If you want to satisfy your curiosity, why not ask them about it in a positive way?

"Hey I was really DIGGIN how you smashed all those plates off the front of the building earlier! Plates eh - WHO NEEDS EM! My Uncle Elijah used to smash plates against his house every morning, and now he works for General Motors!" Stuff like that.

If they don't hit you, or throw more plates, then you know you're in prime position to ask "WTF???"

Don't ask, I don't think. Wow, that's pretty scary! Are you in an apartment complex? Maybe you could call the building mgr. and ask them what to do. Then maybe they would let you know what is going on. But I would stay out of it though. It could get kind of dangerous, anyway, you don't want to get caught in the middle of it! Call someone with authority over the situation.

I recommend calling the police if this happens again. I would not personally ask them about it unless you know them well. This seems kind of like erratic behavior and asking them about it could result in an arguement that you want no part of.

Don't worry about. He was just ticked about something and thats how he vented. It's better than driving away or hitting someone. It probably wont happen again. He's out of dishes.

Couples do that when they are sexually frustrated and having an argument. They break things. Dishes are popular. Just as long as they aren't breaking dishes over eachother's heads or doing it all the time. Otherwise, just ignore them. One day, it will be you breaking dishes, just so you know.

Just ignore it. If it happens again, throw something at their wall also.

Call the police. At the very least, they should be made to pick up the mess. You can call anonymously.

they sound weird!! I WOULD NOT confront them, rather make a report to the police so they have a record for future, if they do the same thing or another weird thing!

Did they clean them up?

I'd ask them what was up...and if they are going to clean up the glass, since it could cause an injury.
