I have a huge pot of cooking oil. Where is the best place to dump it?

My mom told me to pour it (cold of coarse) in a trash bag with some dry kitty litter or news paper.Then tie it and put it in a full trash bag and take it straight to the dumpster or outside can!

Either put it in a garbage can with some paper or some type of absorbing material & then take the bag out to the garbage dumpster or pour it outside in the dirt or grass.

You can pour oil down the drain with water. NEVER pour grease down the drain (that is what cloggs it up). If you don't want to pour it down the drain, then put it in an empty container you are throwing out and put it in the garbage.

Definitely not down the drain. You will soon hate yourself, Many yrs. back. I was young & I learned ya don't do that. Big coffee can with the lid. they careful put it in your garbage bag. Keeping one of these cans on hand for such a purpose is a good idea.

Put it in an empty glass jar. Close the jar tightly and save it. Now, every time you have used cooking oil, you can put it in there. When it's full, you can dispose of it properly.

If you live in the city, it's OK to put the cooking oil down the drain. Your sewer company is equipped to handle this.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this, take it to Jiffy Lube.

If there is no JL near you, put it in the trash.

put cold cooking oil in a jug of some type then take it to the recycler, most land files have a disposal spot, and most gar be collects sites have tanks to put it in

dig a deep hole in your garden, pour the oil in and after it has completely sunk into the earth, then cover the hole
