Hard to say, but there are a lot of players currently playing that are great players, but to be named as a all time champions, I think that is asking a bit too much. Currently, I would say Chris Judd, Scott West, James Hird and so on are truly champions. These sorts of players excel from just being a great player, they have class, skills and can be looked at as role models.Champion (the word) gets around a lot, but we can only see when these guys retire to see how good they were in there day.

Vossy's up there with lethal, god and the duck (who probably did his best work with his teammates things in the crappers), hirdy's up there too. SO i think the modern greats are redefining the game, as the games gotten so much harder and more professional, like if you watch the games in the 60-70's there was no skill, only bravado, it wasn't until the hawks that style and gameplan was introduced.
So i think the players now days play against better players and should get the recognition, i mean can you imagine justin madden playing in today's game, wouldn't he get exposed, by the running big coxy, and some other greats like diesel, would get dragged to the last line and have players just run off him and hurt him, so today's players are just phenomenal.

G'day Backpacka,
Thank you for your questions.
I would think that there are some AFL players who are worthy of mention in the list of all-time champions. The best time for comparison is after they have required.
Seasons regards

Judd, and he was reffered to as the best player as of 100 games played, and it looks like he's only going to impove more and more.
