first of all asking someone who loves dancing and referring to it as crap isn't a great way to start off asking for help... I love dancing for a lot of reasons but mainly because when I am dancing I am lost in the music and the movement of my body...when I am dancing I have no worries, no problems, bills disappear, dead lines vanish and there is nothing but me and the music

Well, that's a hard, yet somewhat easy question. I love dancing ballet. I think it is so versatile. You can be dancing with fast music and you get in tune with it, you sort of connect. When you do the adagios you feel the way the musician or composer feels, whether it's a sad tune or just a slow one. I like it because I can express myself in many ways. Of course, there will always be someone better than you, trust me. I do it because I like it.
I took a summer intensive this year and I was asked by a very important dancer (I am not mentioning names), "Why do you dance. Do you like to dance, or does your mom make you?".Of course I felt insulted. I felt so sad, like crying. I felt like I wasn't trying my best (which I was) and that I wasn't worth anything. Now I realized that it doesn't matter what other people think. It's what you want them to think. If you want them to think you don't dance well, then they will think that. (By the way, after I was asked those questions, I became a better dancer and a person.) Now I really don't care what other people think. I am doing this because I love to and I may not be a principal dancer or anything, but it's what I love to do.

I love dancing because it's a great way to exercise. I enjoy it and at the same time I am staying in shape. Also dancing. for me, helps me relax. I can just let go and not think about anything except the music and me. And because it's a great way to express my personality with the types of dancing I do. Different dances also kinda reflect wat I'm feeling at the time. I love hip-hop, ballet, tap, and expressive dancing.

I am not in competitive dancing or anything, but...I do take dance lessons. I used to do belly dancing for the fitness aspect (it REALLY worked your abs), I used to dance ballet (which REALLY works your legs and arms) and there are fun classes I took like modern, lyrical, jazz...I love to dance in general because I don't feel like I'm being judged, its not a win or loose thing, I feel free.

Dance is one of the greatest ways of self expression. If I'm mad, it helps me forget the reason that I was mad in the first place. If I'm sad, it's the thing that dries my tears. Every emotion can be expressed through dance. I can let everything go, and just forget the world for awhile. All of my worries and stress just melt away the moment I begin to move. Dance is one of the greatest gifts that God has blessed me with.
I hope that helps!

Dancing, competitive or not, in its sense is moving your soul with the music rhythm and beat. It is letting yourself compltely lost in a certain beat and escalates as you get more into the tune.
People basically love dancing because of the adrenaline and "high" it gives them. It also relieves stress and worries. And is a good tool for flirting.
And lastly, It is just so much fun!!!

Salsa Salsa....its spicy, sensual, rythmic, the music and the Latin hip movement is just mesmerizing. To see a couple Salsa dancing is something most people can't help but watch....its like they are competing, but competing to be with each other in total unison. Salsa dancers even refer to themselves as Salseros...their own kind I guess. Very impressive.

Dancing is the best way to express your emotions, to utilize your extra energy and to keep you physically fit. While dancing, you forget your all worries, tension and sorrow. All of it is washes out in the river of rhythmic movements of your body. Since body itself becomes an instruments; all worries, tension and sorrow dissolves in its lucid movements. It takes you in different world where you think of the rhythm only. Dance purifies your soul and shapes your body.
