Your hysterectomy is not to blame. you still have your ovaries therefore your hormones were not affected by the surgery. You don't want to take testosterone because it MAY increase your desire for sex, BUT it is a male hormone and you could also develop excess body hair etc. You are however at the age of menopause and that sometimes affects your libido. The hysterectomy probably triggered it. I don't know your situation but sometimes women think that having a hysterectomy makes them less of a women. Surgery of any kind upsets the bodies balance, but you should have recovered by now. Ask your Dr. about hormone replacement estrogen etc. I had a full hysterectomy at 35, ovaries and all, my sex drive was never affected. but the 10" scar on my belly made me self-conscious , could their be any other reasons?

I think it is from the hysterectomy. I have a friend that had a hysterectomy and she talked to her Dr about her sex drive. The Dr put her on testosterone and her sex drive is back. Go talk with your Dr.

Yes, it is due to your hysterectomy. Go to the doctor and tell him/her, they will probably put you on testosterone. My best friend said she went nuts and wanted to have sex 24/7 after starting on it.

It could just be a result of your anxiety about your hysterectomy.

Yeah. It's likely hormonal. Make an appointment with an endocrinologist and have him pull a hormone panel on you. There are treatments that can help you, once they know what is wrong.

best thing to do is not to be sh and to talk to your doctor. Ask for pills that raise our sex drive...kinda like viagra for men but I forgot what the name of the pill is for women...try that out. Or you can go see an endocinologist
