Can natural knowing be reconciled with formal education?

Not sure what you mean by "natural knowing" -- do you mean instinct? Reconciled how? My "instinct" is to grab my food with my hands and shove it into my face -- my formal education tells me this is wrong. I reconcile myself to abiding by the norms of society -- but still get guilty pleasure when I shove pizza in my face!
