My worldview respects your freedom and your property. The conservative worldview does not ask any more of you than to help keep the roads paved and maintain order. Paying a 50% effective tax rate, how much more should I be required to give?
When we talk about restricting freedom, why does this never come up?

You are by far the most polite conservative I've run across on YA. I'm really very tired of the hate that I see being spouted by liberals and conservatives. Just for politely asking I'm voting you a one up for your question.
I'm neither a liberal nor a conservative, I believe I'm pretty moderate. Taxes are as you point out quite high enough. However spending needs to decrease or else we will have no choice but to raise taxes. GW Bush has been one of the most spendthrift presidents that I personally am aware of. Before he took office we had a budget surplus, now where are we I ask you. Yes the liberals want to spend money too. So let's compromise and elect a single mom as president. One that knows how to pinch a penny, and get her money's worth.

I'm glad to hear you're kind but why in the world would you pay a 50% tax rate-nobody does that. Well no one with a lot of money and a good tax attorney....

Freedom must be respected and taxes must be lowered. These issues must be addressed by the new Congress dominated by Liberals.

Liberals are seldom very nice to conservatives on Answers. The fact that you are black probably really makes them mad because they believe that they are the minorities party. No room for being independent in their view. Some can't even discuss it without getting very racial, just like what happened to Condi Rice.
