the knowledge they acquire is not enough or the wrong kind. Enough knowledge may result in not looking for a job but starting a business or making an invention. people who have power do not need jobs. it is the powerless that are forced to work for the man.
keep learning until you feel the power and then use it wisely. jobs are only temporary while you learn about life. you never stop learning but if you get smart and powerful you can stop working.

so KNOWLEWDGE IS POWER! yes yes yes. TRUE

That really is a stupid question. They do get jobs and that is why they studied to give themselves a better opportunity to get a job.
One of the ways to (almost) guarantee earning above the national average earnings is to get a degree, otherwise you will need to have a profession or trade as those on minimum wage won't come close.
However, if you are asking why students don't get jobs while they are studying (which I don't think you are), I would hope it si because they are studying. But in reality, many students also work - I always did a minimum of 20 hours during term time to put myself through college and then as many as I could during holidays to build up some reserves.

Just because they are students does not mean they are knowledgeable does it? I find most of them choose student life for a chance at "real life" before they run on home to mummy! they stay in bed as mummy is not there to wake poor diddums up in the am to get to uni/college whatever! Nor can they get dressed or do job appications without the aforementioned mummy, so how can they get a job poor darlings how hard real life is!

I would say it's simply because of ageism which drives me crazy! Depending on whether you're a college student or a high school student, there may be a job right under your nose! The only catch is that you would have to settle for a job with minimum wage!

Aside from the fact that there is no vacancy , most of the graduate students today have no job due to lack of self confidence, lack of determination, and personality. Working is not a simple thing to earn money, but you must have the total persoinality. It means you are able to deal with people and handle things. This is our start up stage my fellow youngmen. We have to adjust to our new environment. That is why parents send us to school for us to be prepare enough and ready in all aspects. Thats all

That's BS. They do get jobs. They just don't sit around and wait for them to fall in their laps. The other thing is students right out of school expect to start making 80K a year right out of the gate! Get real. Experience combined with their degree is what earns them the big money down the road.

Most? I don't think that is accurate. Many don't because they study in areas that have theoretical value rather than practical. Therefore, if they stay in University and research the subject, they are fine. However, in the standard job market they are lost.

My problem with your question is that most degrees are practical and that although some graduates don't end up working in their field, the fact that they have a degree opens more doors than it closes.

Personally, I have degrees in business and computer science, so doors flew open even before graduation.

Some people do not have the drive to continue to look for a job in spite of rejection. We would like to think that after a degree that a good job will fall into your lap....that's not true. You have to really put yourself out there sometimes working in a position that you don't want, some people do not want to make that sacrifice.

you mean like a job while in school?
almost anyone can stack ceral boxes on a shelf...or serve ice cream or something...
many students don't have the time for a job like that because they are studying hard for school...so they can get a great job after college where their real knowledge shines through...

cuz they never went to school.
to them, knowledge is probably powerful in the "final fantasy."

or it could be that they don't have time cuz they are in school.

your question should have been:
if knowledge is power, why are kids dropping out of school?
if knowledge is power, why do students like only the picture books?
