my son was lactose intolerant bigtime!! We had to give him soy milk, or else he would throw up, A LOT!! I too am lactose intolerant, so I can only think he got it from me, as he got older though he was able to have milk without throwing up, but he would get very gassy instead and have stomach irritation as do I. I love milk too much though, so I deal with it, which is the reason I think he deals with it, he is 7 now.

Yes. Yes. Most of the world's population is lactose intolerant - it is the Western Europeans that have evolved to being lactose tolerant. It is something you are born with, but some (like myself) have grown into it (and i love cheese...)
Read up and do the research.

I have 3 children and 2 were born lactose intolerant, even when it came to breast milk, but they outgrew it by the age of 18 mos.

Babies can be lactose intolerant, but I don't think it would be to his own mothers milk. Normally it has a reaction to cow's milk.

Food allergies are very common with babies. It takes time to diagnose and discover what those allergies are. Keep in close contact with your physician. concerning your babies health and monitor your babies reaction to certain foods.
