Tolkien, absolutely. Though I have read and enjoyed all the Harry Potter books to date, they aren't even close to the complexities of Tolkiens writings. From Mr. Bliss, a little known Tolkien, to The Ring trilogy, Tolkiens writings are in a category all thier own.

Neither,... I have disablities,.. I can't read books ;(

I try. But I just screw up and get frustrated and my sight blurs. It's very annoying. It's easier on computers. When I was haveing problems I could HighLight what I wanted to read or follow with the mouse curser. I am not holding the monitor so it doesn't shake and more like a book would.

As far as what I would most likely read,.. Tolkien has curseing in his books which decreases the odds of me wanting to read them whereas Rowling has created her own versions of Mythical/Religious creatures so she also would turn me off as I would be confused haveing too much useless information on such creatures through history. So even if I read, I wouldn't like them very well. I did however enjoy Cronicls of Narnia and I was able to read all of those some how.

Familiar with both. JRR Tolkien was a genious who created elven language and was a forerunner in the world of fantasy. For that, I give him a great deal of respect.
