umm I would say giving out any personal information about yourself is dangerous. I have a myspace account and it is set to private, and I always get friend requests from old men, I think thats really creepy. I do like it because it helps me keep in touch with my friends. I do not think it is appropriate for kids at all

There are no dangers, if you're smart about it. Don't be friends and talk with people you don't know. Don't meet someone from the internet, unless it's a public place and you're with people you trust also.
Only bad experience I've had with MySpace is that some of my blogs get deleted, and sometimes it's slow. :)

well for pedophiles its a supermarket of young teens wanting to communicate with their freinds and the pedophiles pretend they are something they aren't and arrange to meet up with the person say at a resturant or shopping mall or also bring them condoms, beer a meal this sort of thing and the kid shows up and if they are alone w/this person they can molest them and the kid is pretty much emotionally scarred for life trust me I know I was abused sexually at age 13 by a family member.

Sexual predators.
Much of the young children tend to give out too much information about themselves to strangers and they try to look older beyond their age.
So it's easy for sexual predators to come and get at em`
