I know right. I hate when they say "oh why you so quiet"! Obviously because I choose to be quiet and actually learn something.

I think this is really a "western world culture" thing. I know people from other cultures who are quiet and no one ever questions them. Trust me not everyone appeciates loudmouths.
Tell me is it people at school or work that are in your words "after you" ??? You may well fare better if you changed the mix of people that are around you, if this is at all possible.
Remember: Don't change yourself to suit someone else.

Calling them chatterboxes means you are being like them, stay out of their business also. Transcend all the BS babe. Be you and don't speak ill of them even though they do of you.

there probably don't understand u just like u don't understand why there talking all the time. its part of society that people should communicate with each other it would probably help u more if u at least made small talk with them.

just don't talk to them. and they'll eventually leave you alone. If you're really mad, tell them to back up off you.
or you could just smile and nod. that helps.
