Electric lights looked "wrong" when they first came out but were much safer than candles. Could there be something better about LED lights.

Do you mean those built-in lights on the artificial trees? I think they're OK, and it's a lot harder to get tangled up in the cord, but my family uses 2 or 3 strings of regular mini-lights on our artificial tree. That way, we can position the lights so they'll shine through our many stained-glass-look ornaments properly.

What do you mean wrong? They don't look like regular lights, no.
They are usually safer and use less energy. Won't burn out easily like the others.
Personally, don't care how it looks as long as my tree lights up.
