if she has 3 weeks left until her due date?

I would think that it would depend on her job, how far the workplace is to the hospital, and how safe and populated the roads are that she must travel to get back and forth from home to work. Walking will not hurt, unless your water has broken, then definately off to the hospital for instructions...probably bed rest. Walking will actually speed up the dialating process, so it is healthy, again, as long as your water has not broken.

I was told to stop working last week (at 37 weeks) by my doctor. When I went in for my appt. I was 5cm dilated and almost 100% effaced and I was working 45-50hours a week at my restaurant so I was always on my feet. I would much rather have continued working but my doctor wanted me to hit 38 weeks prior to having the baby. So I am taking time off.
With my first pregnancy though, I was dilated to 3 cm (for a few weeks) and was working 48 hours a week up until the day I gave birth (but I was 5 days late with her). I guess it really depends on what the doctor has to say. If you have any concerns, your doctor will tell you what they believe you should do.

She should definetally take it easy, but she shoudnt stop working if she doesnt feel like it. Mothers know thier limits, so i guess it;s her call. But i would suggest not working a week before you think the due date is, it;s better to rest and save energy, get ready for baby.

It's okay to stay active. The baby's lungs are probably mature enough now. But you might want to relax and rest up as you probably won't be getting much of it after the baby is born. Good Luck.

I was dilated to 2 for over a month before my kids were born...if she is up to it, keep up with it as it may help with having the baby sooner. good luck.

Keep on doing whatever she was doing because this is actually working for her. She is full term and the baby would be fine if born now.

she needs not do anything where her arms are raised up over breast level tho, bc she runs the risk of the cord wrappin round the babies neck. i would say most women need to take it alil easy the further along they get
