Some mutual fund companies offer "Ethical" funds that invest in companies that do not participate in "unethical" activities such as polluting, sweat shops, human rights abuses, drugs/alcohol/firearms/gambling/porn, etc,etc.... Is there actually a website or something that lists unethical public companies and what they are guily of ???

Do you have any personal favorite picks for the most "unethical" companies ????Thanks.

i can tell you about a unethical company i worked for two years at united healthcare and ended up having to have my tonsils taken out ..during recovery from having a tonsillectomy i got a infection in my throat which made my taste buds fall off and my tongue and throat swell up which made my length of stay from work a lil longer.i had to go to the doctor to receive a note to verify my extended length of stay from work to make sure that i recieved my short term disability while i was out of work ..while i was out of work on medical leave...UNITED HEALTH CARE fired me..i find this completely unethical ...now this is a insurance company that should be a lil more lenient i would think when it came to illness due to the fact that they are a insurance company..

i might want to call 100 businesses that are extra unethical than google. some examples contain contain Haliburton, Blackwater, and each of the wall street banks. Others that were seen very respected till they were stuck change into Enron and Worldcom.

Most U.S. businesses that are global practice some unethical standards. That is because they have to work within countries that do those things. For example, in India to set up a new business or conduct business you have to bribe government officials. So most companies do that.

Walmart, Exxon, McDonald's, etc..... all do things.

Sue

Wal-Mart, Nike, Tyson Foods, KFC, Monsanto, Haliburton, etc. The list goes on and on and on and on... Capitalism and ethics certainly don't always mix. But I feel that the absolute worst offender is Wal-Mart. Hands down. No other corporation has ever had such a negative impact on modern society.
