Dear Jonas,

Have you read any of Ravi Zacharias' books?
I read Walking From East to West in 2 days because it was so good I couldn't put it down. I'm taking more time with Jesus Among Other Gods.

I also recommend
Knowing God by J.I. Packer
Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
and Lee Strobel's many books.

It really depends on what your preferences are, but I highly recommend historical fiction in general. A good author will point out which characters are fictional and which are not (if there are any nonfictional characters in the book) and will provide historical detail without making the information boring. I suggest Morgan Lwellyn and Edward Rutherfurd.

If you are interested in sci-fi/fantasy, what about Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series? Thick plot, excellent author.

I don't typically recommend holy books in the first place. What kinds of things do you like to read? Are you male or female? How old are you? It's hard to recommend books when you don't know anything about the person.

Depends.

If you want something to sink your teeth into, try:
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Hemingway or
"East of Eden" by Steinbeck.

If you want a satirical take on something "Holy", try:
"Cat's Cradle" by Vonnegut (my all time favorite author)

If you want a strictly fluffy, excellent content read, try:
"Pulp" by Bukowski

if you want to change the way you view writing standards in a novel, try:
"Naked Lunch" by Burroughs

If you want something very hard, yet philosophical, try:
"Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Neitzsche, or
"Nausea" by Sartre

There ya go! A few of the greatest books ever written. Enjoy.
