Depending on your skin tone, the make-up you choose will need to flatter your face and hair. If you apply the wrong colours, you’re not doing yourself a favour -- and you can look all washed out, or overdone. Play up your features with the best make-up colours, tints and hues for your skin tone.
Make-up for Fair Skin
If you’re fair-skinned, sheer colours look best on you. Apply light earth tones and soft pastels, such as blue and lavender to accent your eyes.
Various shades of pink will look good on your eyes, cheeks and lips. Keep your mascara to brown or brown/black. Light, sheer lipstick adds a finishing touch. Peach is always a good choice for our fair-skinned friends, it looks natural and compliments your skin colour.
Medium Toned Skin
Your warmer completion gives you many options for a fabulous makeover. Being “in-between” does have its benefits. Deep matter earth tones and jewel colours such as hunter green, dark grey, beige and brown will accent your eyes. Coral and plumb colours work good to accentuate your cheekbones.
Experiment with your lip colour. Your skin tone is very versatile and if you’re brunette, anything from pink to red will look great on you. Top it off with lip gloss for extra staying power. Bronzing powder dusted over your forehead, nose and cheeks will give you the ultimate sun-kissed look.
Make-up for Dark Skin
You may need a heavier hand when applying make-up to dark skin -- but you need to choose the right shades. For eye shadow, gray, brown and natural shades will compliment your eyes. Also try shimmer colours such as silver, bronze, and terra-cotta. Experiment with mascara colours such as navy and dark purple.
For blush, more pigment for darker skin is a must. Deep rose and apricot shades highlight your cheekbones beautifully. Sometimes, a bronze highlighter does the trick. Stay away from anything with a strong orange base as this will not flatter your skin.
Dark lip colour such as apricot, blackberry, caramel and red will compliment your lips.
Olive and Ethnic Skin Tones
With your darker skin tone, neutral shades as well as dark purple and blue will look great on your eyes. Metallic colours also look remarkable, as long as the shades remain darker.
Highlight your cheekbones with bronzing powder, dark plum, chestnut, or terra-cotta blush. Keep the tones natural and avoid anything too light.
Lipstick shades that will bring out your lips are berry, plum, russet, or almond. Avoid “true” reds, they will clash with your skin tone.

That's a hard one. I have dark eye color as well and haven't really found much to emphasize them with the exception of colored mascara - dark purple or navy seems to help. Maybe using a dark purple or navy eyeliner would help as well. When you're shopping for makeup, take a look at the models on the store advertisements. You might be able to get some hints from them or go to a makeup counter where a qualified makeup artist can give you some pointers. Their services are free and trying the different color options should help you decide what is best.

Less is more!!!!
I have super dark eyes, too. Dark eyes are sexy and you'll look younger than your blue-eyed friends when you age. Don't mess with liners & shadows and stuff.
Just keep your eyesbrows groomed & a little on the full side. Wiggle your mascara close to you lash line so as to deliberately mark your eyelid. Then smooth the "mess" with your finger keeping it close the the lash line.
Looks natural AND sultry!!
Guys don't like liner & shadows anyway.

A Lancome make-up lady told me that if you put navy/midnight blue on the inside rim of your lashes it will make your eyes seem more amber than dark brown. Up 'til then I thought nothing was wrong with dark brown :) It does look nice, but dark brown is lovely, too! Be proud of your nearly-ebony eyes!

From what you described I have the same color of eyes as you. Bronze colors make my eyes pop the best (and so does silver, but applied lightly..you don't want to look like a hooker).
Stay away from dark brown eye shadows...it competes with your eye color. That's the only color that doesn't really compliment our eyes.

use some purples and pinks or even browns. but use it to cover the eyelid. then on the top of ur lid, by the eye brow use a powdered white and on the bottow by ur eye lashes as well. use a small brush (like a blush brush but for the eyes) to blend it in..gives it a soft natural beautiful celeb look to it. kinda like nancy graces
