I'm just confused on where I would fit. I define myself as a moderate liberal and find mysef supporting Democrats more but I also support Republicans on occasion. Anyone care to help me define my political ideology? I am a faithful Catholic teen, I believe in no abortion, don't believe in gay marriage (although civil unions I support), I'm a supporter for welfare and better and cheaper healthcare for everyone especially the elderly, I'm for stricter laws against crime, I'm for moderate gun control and better background checks (not to loose but not to strict) I've always thought entering Iraq was an awful idea but I'm not for withdrawing immedeatly. I believe in bipartisan effort even if you don't agree with what the other side is saying. I believe religion and government should be kept seperate but not be so extreme about it (like removing the nativity scene from public places) and that we should be fair to all religions and care for one another regardless of our beliefs or backgrounds

I applaud you for having some very specific opinions on some tough issues (i.e. abortion, gay marriage, etc). And your bipartisan view is commended! I believe that too many people vote on party lines and that has really caused some problems in both local and nation politics.

Personally, I would place you in the "independant" or "unenrolled" party. Please note, unenrolled is another name for independant, it's not that you are not a registered voter. Some people panic when they hear unenrolled. :)

I was a republican for many years. I recently changed my affiliation to NO affiliation because I found myself supporting both republicans and democrats. I vote solely on issues, not on party lines or affiliations. So, I felt I should not be affiliated with either party. Perhaps you fall into the same category.

You sound like a pro-life Democrat. I'm a Democrat and I agree with Republicans on some issues, too. It's completely normal and you're not a conservative, you like welfare as I'm opposed to it. You fall more with the Democrats than Republicans but never be a partisan hacker.

Who the heck says that you have to join a party? You think independently, so just identify yourself as an independent and just vote the way you want to.

If you really want to vote. I don't -- any more. I tried the voting thing for some 14 years but I finally got fed up with the system.

listen to some of the answers on Yahoo and how people treat other people. Then decide. My bet is you will decide you want to be a liberal Democrat.
