im in 8th grade and need to think of a debate topic for school...any ideas? ive already come up with the death penalty and about vegetarianism.

i dont really know much about the war in iraq (my parents as politically involved as most people) and i dont want to make it too political...dont wanna get on the teachers or other students bad sides...=/

it has to somehow relate to the 10 ammendments/bill of rights/constitution...its for history class...but it can be almost anything, but not too vague... like global warming...somehow my teacher related it to the 10 ammendments..O.O

when i was in grade 8 i did a great and fun debate on whether dogs are better than cats. it sounds stupid but there r alot of aspects 2 it. dogs help save people, cats require less maintence etc etc etc. if this is a serious debate the war in iraq is always a lively debate, or are private or public schools better, living in the city or on a farm. hope this helps!

The war on Iraq is a really good topic to debate. I know from personal experience because we went on and on and both sides brought up really good points. So good luck!!!
