Music, a subscription to a special service (netflix, a magazine, a regular service he's used to have), tickets for a concert/sports event, a weekend in a special resort/spa/recreation center, something related to his favorite sport, something you cook, a good book, a camera, high-tech stuff... In any case, I guess anything you give with love will be more than welcomed.

And please don't buy yet another tie that we hardly wear any more. Or even a shirt or cuff-links. I would suggest that you think of him as a person and find out what he really values. Then make something unique. For instance, I love music from certain bands and one time someone compiled this set of songs and put them on a CD - the best gift ever. So make it unique and it does not have to expensive.

Well, my boyfriend, who is 26, told me not to buy him clothes or anything like that. He likes to be in control of those things himself and would prefer, get this.... tools. I would maybe take him with me to the mall on an errand and watch to see what things he seems more drawn to. If he seems completely bored and disinterested in anything there, it may be best to go with something you know he has interest in... like an XBOX game or whathave you. Good luck.

Try cologne, shirts, electronic gadgets etc

anything that shows him that your thinking of him and that you care. get him something that might remind him of you or something you did together.
