Did Texas truly try in the Texas A&M game?

As a UT fan, I can honestly say it didn't look as if they did. It was a very sloppy game for Mack Brown's team.

Although I will say they lost because of Colt McCoy. His shoulder was not 100% as he often lofted the deep passes he usually zips down there with accuracy. This team ran because of Colt and in the 2 games where he was hurt, it was very obvious. He needs to stay out of the Alamo Bowl and focus on coming back healthy for 2007.

I'm sad to say it . . . but yes. They did. I've been a Longhorn fan since birth. I've always rooted for them and I always wear my burnt orange on game weekends. They've let me down so many times in the past, and they let me down this season. It's hard to say it, but Vince Young really made that team last year. He's the reason we made it to the National Championship game and won. I do have to discredit A&M for a cheap and very unprofessional game towards the end. There were some late hits on Colt McCoy that ended up taking him out of the game that I think were uncalled for. They were winning the game, yet they had to take our quarterback out of the game? What's the reasoning behind that? I could understand the frustration of a losing team doing that, but a winning team? Whatever. So the answer to the question is yes. Texas did try in the game. And they tried in the K State game as well. Maybe just not hard enough. It just wasn't a good year.

It doesnt matter who you play but both teams will be trying their best. Texas did try and they got out played...A &M possible had a little help from the refs but they still out played Texas. A few bad calls wont change a game. Just because its the end of the game and ruin their chance at points or something doesnt mean anything. They should have done better earlier in the game.
