ovulation is about a week or 2 before your period and it is when discharge (clear natural lubricant from vagina) becomes heavier and is the best time to try and get pregnant.

The Latin word for egg is ovum.
Ovulation is when an egg is released from a female's ovaries (where the eggs are made/stored). If no ovulation happens, that means that no new egg is released and a female can't get pregnant.

ovulation — the release of a single egg from a follicle that developed in the ovary. It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle.
