Is it still true that the wffe buys the house and the husband the car.?

In my case its always the case, although I have a lot of say in the house, location, price, affordability, construction. The car, my wife has no idea of, so she leaves the choice totaly to me.

We cannot generalize.

Typically both husband and wife contribute to car and house buying.

Car:- Husband looks at engine rating, number of valves, features like GPS while wife looks for car seats, style and COLOR.

House:- Husband decides the location, plan and price. Wife looks at number of rooms, bathroom style, fixtures and then decorates the house.

In my house I pick all of it out! I purchased both our cars without him there...though he did tell me what he wanted...I just had to do all the haggling because I'm better at it than he is. Besides it's like my husband always tells my kids when they've made me mad..."if mama isn't happy then nobody is happy!"

its not that things have to go that way, but your lives will go way more smooth
because the wife always has the dream of a nice house that she always has dreamed of decorating it a certain way, and if you ask me, a man would be pretty upset if he let his wife pick out the car nd she picked a minivan because she wants a big family, you see

Um, we bought both together. We are now a couple and do things like major purchases jointly.
