It's about a young german girl living during the holocaust. She has a secret room behind her "dressor" that she plays in. She goes to school every day, but one day she finds out her parents are hiding some jews in her secret room. I think her brother was a nazi or something.

Behind the Bedroom Wall by Laura Williams. Excellent book. The girl in the story is a Hitler youth, who must decide whether or not to turn in her parents for harboring a Jewish family in the secret room behind her bedroom wall. There are many variations on this theme. But this is a great book. If you like this, try the Twenty and ten by Claire Huchet Bishop.
Twenty school children hide ten Jewish children from the Nazis occupying France during World War II.

It MIGHT have been Number the Stars, but I never finished that book so I'm not sure.

And it is most definately NOT The Diary of Anne Frank.

I can't answer that... but it is definitely NOT the Diary of Anne Frank, NOR is it Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.

Look through http://whatwasthatbook.livejournal.com -- I think this book came up there a little while ago. :)

Wow I totally remember reading that in elementary-but I can't remember it either-try asking a teacher or check out your school library. (I think it was the star of david or something like that...oh and by the way if you like the book you should watch the pianist or its a wonderful life...both are excellent for leisurely watching or for an assignment! Chow!)

"Anne Frank - The Diary of a Young Girl".
It's a true account written by the author.
