Often the answers are right infront of a persons face. Searching Yahoo's "Help" area sometimes hard to lcoate but often at the botom of the home page.

You cannot close an email. Stop using it for 90 days and Yahoo will delete it for lack of activity.

dont use it for 90 days and Yahoo will automatically delete it.
happenned to me 3 times.
