I absolutely love Sarah Dessen. You can't get any better when it comes to romance. So first of all I'd recommend you read everything by Dessen. She's so wonderful. But if you've already completed her works, then I would recommend you read Joan Bauer. Bauer is a great writer. Not as focused on romance, but great characterization with romance being secondary to the story. I love Hope Was Here. Squashed is also really good. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer would also be a good choice if you love romance. Even if you HATE vampire novels, I think the romance of it all--and her writing style--will hook you. It is a book that I not only couldn't put down--it was a book I couldn't stop smiling through. It was just so good, so happy. First Impressions by Marilyn Sachs isn't bad, especially if you like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It is about a teen girl who is frustrated that she has to read this classic over Christmas vacation. She doesn't understand what makes it so great or special...until she starts falling in love herself. I also like The Girl Who Invented Romance by Caroline B. Cooney. It's an older title that has recently been reprinted with a new cover. If you can get past its age (I believe it was late eighties) and if you are open to reading books where the main characters aren't constantly instant messaging one another...then I think you'd find it enjoyable.

When I was a teenager I read books in a series called Sunfire Romances.
They all had womens names as the titles. Each one took place in a different period in American History.
If yuo go to Amazon or Ebay you can type in Sunfire Romances and it should bring up some of the names of the books and the authors.

A Great and Terrible Beauty (A bit hard to read, but amazing) (By Libra Bray)
Vegan Virgin Valentine
The Earth, My butt, and other Big, Round things
The Georgia Nicolson Series (NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, but hysterical and not romantic, but has plenty of kissing in them)
The georgia nicolson series's titles are...

On the Bright Side, I am now the Girlfriend of a Sex God
