Well you cant put a background in your email address, but you can insert a background into your outgoing emails if you use Outlook or Outlook Express (Thunderbird will also allow backgrounds).
In Outlook, open up a NEW MAIL, go to format, click background, then click picture and it will insert the picture on the background of the email (in this feature, you can also insert music to play when the email is opened)

well a backgrnd on ur email has to bought...upgrade to a better email but u hav to pay for it
