Okay, once a girl's body decides that it's developed enough to be able to have a baby, it starts preparing the womb (where the baby grows). It does this by building up the lining of the womb (uterus) with lots of blood-filled tissue to help the potential baby - like a layer of cushions. Then an egg is released from the ovaries, and it travels down the fallopian tubes to the uterus. To make a baby the egg would need to meet up with a sperm (provided by a guy). If the egg doesn't meet a sperm, the body figures that it isn't going to be pregnant and sheds the lining of the uterus - it doesn't need the cushions if there isn't going to be a baby! This comes out of the vagina as a period. Then the whole things starts all over again - building up the lining, releasing an egg, shedding the lining. This repeats about once a month - that's the cycle.

during the month your uterus prepares itself to carry a child just incase you get pregnant...the lining on the uteran walls get thicker and that is what sheds off during your period...which is blood and can be some clots...a period lasts about 5-7 days...where the 2nd or 3rd is usually the heaviest for bleeding...dont really know what else to explain...if you want to know anything more specific then IM me or e-mail me...its in my info.

it's when you get your period every month. When you get your period you bleed from your vagina located between your legs. It happens once a month for a few days.
